Facebook engagement on German news pages dropped 8% on average over 6 months. Viral and tabloid types of publishers were affected not only in Germany, but also across Europe. Traditional German print and broadcaster pages grew. Video and link engagement dropped. But local news pages defied the trend and have seen some growth.
